Starting Year: Fall 2026
Program Specialization: Integrated Plant Biology
Laboratory Association(s): Lirong Zeng, Chi Zhang
I completed my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in 2023 and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in 2025 in Microbiology from the Department of Microbiology at Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. Following my graduation, I worked as a Research Assistant and subsequently as a Research Associate in the same department, where my research focused on host–microbe interactions, microbial ecology, plant-associated microbiomes, and abiotic stress. My work integrated experimental microbiology with bioinformatics and computational analyses to investigate microbial communities and host responses to environmental and biological stimuli.
Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in the Complex Biosystems program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln under the supervision of Dr. Lirong Zeng. My research focuses on elucidating the role of the ubiquitination system in regulating plant growth, development, and immune responses to microbial pathogens.
